Effizienz und Produktiviät steigern: die tragbare Spektralphotometer-Serie CM-26d

The new series of measuring devices offers a maximum level of device agreement, which was previously only achieved by reference laboratory instruments. This allows these tools to be used for quality control throughout the supply chain, from the component manufacturer to the final product. Inter-instrument agreement (average for 12 BCRA color tiles) is within ΔE* 0.12 for CM-26dG and CM-26d, an improvement of approximately 40% over previous models. Additionally, the CM-26dG is a "two-in-one" spectrophotometer that can simultaneously measure hue and gloss and has a compact body weighing only 660g. This increases efficiency when measuring large sample quantities and significantly improves the speed and accuracy of the inspection process.

Efficient black batches for PLA & PETG for 3D printing

3D printing has undergone rapid development in recent years and now characterises numerous industries. To this end, the Thuringian company GRAFE, based in Blankenhain, is enriching the market with customer-specific colourings and expanding its standard range alongside the RAL K7 fan and customer-specific colour settings in all common thermoplastics in this area. Three new standard black variants have been added, which are among the most important materials in 3D printing and are suitable for numerous applications. “Our aim is to meet customer requirements even faster and to cover a wide range of customer requirements with the predefined range,” says Lars Schulze, Head of Colour Development and Material Sciences. “Our years of project work have shown that we not only need high-performance materials and excellent colour settings, but also fast and cost-efficient solutions,” the specialist continues. The Schwarz portfolio now includes three masterbatches with the carrier materials PETG and PLA. In addition to the classic PLA variant, an additional option is offered that meets the strict requirements with FDA approval for food contact. Established processes and a universal formulation, which does not require any customisation, enable cost-efficient production and rapid provision of standard batches. This allows a particularly competitive and attractive offer to be realised in the GRAFE range. “In contrast to classic UN substrates, we also want to give our customers who demand the highest quality the option of selecting a substrate that matches the print material. This eliminates compromises in terms of layer adhesion, warping or flow properties. We also offer our customers this service for our standard colour range,” says Schulze

ONI was the first company to recognize that ice storage is an innovative solution for the efficient use and storage of energy in industrial cooling processes. In conjunction with renewable energies, ice storage systems allow surplus energy, for example from photovoltaic systems, to be stored for later use. This enables grid-friendly operation by storing “cold” when electricity tariffs are low and then releasing it when needed (high electricity tariffs). In addition, ice storage can bridge peak loads, allowing the refrigeration system to be optimally dimensioned and operating costs to be reduced. This peak load capping of electrical supply power will become increasingly important in the near future. Ice storage tanks can also be used as heat sources for heating buildings or for process heat, with the storage tank being regenerated using waste heat or environmental heat. With an energy density of up to 70 kWh/m³, ice storage systems significantly outperform conventional battery storage systems and enable efficient load management. In addition, they are made of cost-effective, environmentally friendly and readily available materials and are not subject to capacity degradation. ONI-Wärmetrafo GmbH integrates ice storage systems specifically into cooling and refrigeration systems in order to reduce the load on the grid and save energy costs. High-performance ice storage systems can be fully charged or discharged within a few hours. On the other hand, ice storage systems have a very low self-discharge rate, which enables storage over several days to several weeks.
