      Precision welding system piggyWelder® 4

Welding is carried out in a single-pulse process with minimal heat input into the base material, enabling the smallest repair areas on surfaces, edges and corners without edge burns. Preheating the workpiece is no longer necessary with this "cold welding process". By means of "creative pulse modulation", the weld pool can be influenced depending on the task for an optimum welding result and inclusions or blowholes can be avoided. You weld with a very handy handpiece with a tungsten electrode Ø 0.6, 0.8 or 1.0 mm. You determine the welding spot with this extremely thin electrode. Now comes the special part: You touch the electrode tip very precisely to the spot for the welding point. After 2 1/2 seconds, the control unit triggers the weld. The contact pressure is controlled. This effectively prevents the electrode from sticking. At the same time, an electromagnet retracts the electrode. You position the electrode precisely for the next spot. After 1 second, all subsequent points are triggered precisely. If speed is of the essence, the number of cycles can now be adjusted. Parallel to welding, the shutter is closed in the microscope. This can make precision welding really fun. The 10x microscope is quickly set up. The built-in LED light illuminates the entire welding area evenly. The field of view is sufficiently large with a diameter of 20 mm. If you now come with a handpiece and filler metal, you can use the thin, pointed electrode to determine exactly where you want to weld. The built-in LCD visual protection filter closes the light path during the welding time. The whole thing happens in milliseconds. You and your eyes are effectively protected. The hydraulic swivelling arm allows you to position the microscope quickly and easily exactly where you need it.

    2. Prevention Over Repair: The Crucial Role of WTH Antioxidants!

Prevention Over Repair: The Crucial Role of WTH Antioxidants!

Antioxidants protect polymers against radical degradation reactions triggered by various factors such as heat or mechanical stresses. Without their use, this can lead to functional loss in end products. Highly effective primary antioxidants, based on sterically hindered phenols or organic phosphite compounds, are essential for safeguarding against thermo-oxidative degradation. They serve both as processing aids and long-term stabilizers. Combining them with co-stabilizers optimizes polymer protection.

    3. PRISMA Nozzle

      PRISMA Nozzle

The hot runner specialist's newly developed PRISMA nozzle offers particular advantages for rotationally symmetrical articles with high demands on concentricity that have to be moulded several times. The new nozzle that Günther Heißkanaltechnik, Frankenberg, will be presenting at KUTENO 2025 is designed for precision production. Thanks to the special melt guidance, it is designed to enable precise injection moulding processes, even with narrow stitch dimensions and small pitch circle diameters. The nozzle is particularly suitable for demanding, technical plastic parts with high requirements for shape and position tolerances as well as confined spaces. (Photo: Günther) The new nozzle offers numerous advantages, particularly for rotationally symmetrical parts with high demands on concentricity, which have to be moulded several times. According to the company, initial series production runs have already confirmed the performance and reliability of the nozzle, which emphasises its high standard in practice.

      Process Management

With the BPM software Process.Net you can visualize, version, control, and distribute processes in your company as well as define responsibilities, contributors, and participants. By defining, planning, documenting, and publishing all processes in accordance with standards, you create the basis for a lively design of the continuous improvement process throughout your company. Highlights of the Process.Net Process Management Software • Define goals and track them via metrics / key performance indicators as well as identify and analyze opportunities and risks of processes • Visualize and publish process landscapes on the corporate intranet and automatically create turtle diagrams of processes based on metadata • Assign controlled documents to processes and process steps and monitor process-relevant tasks by means of action management • Link individual processes using interactive process maps and manage and assign interested parties

    5. Process module EVO 0800-TD

      Process module EVO 0800-TD

The EVO 0800-TD is a slim process module with customized lasers and optics for contour or quasi-simultaneous welding of plastics. Out of the box, all components relevant for the welding process are part of the process module. The joining force required for the welding process is realized by the integrated clamping module. The clamping movement takes place in the so-called top-down clamping concept from top to bottom, with integrated joining path monitoring. The welding unit is optimized for drag-and-drop integration into different automation environments. The EVO 0800-TD is designed from the start to be compact and robust, and at the same time highly flexible so that a wide variety of assemblies can be processed. During assembly, each EVO 0800-TD passes through the unique CQC calibration concept of Evosys Laser GmbH, which ensures the comparability of the systems.
