The Invisible Heroes: Light Stabilizers and UV Absorbers!
Diverse light stabilizers and UV absorbers, ranging from Benzophenone and Benzotriazole to polymer/monomer HALS types, serve as the backbone for plastic and rubber protection. Additives like WTH-LS (light protection agents) and WTH-AN (antioxidants) form the foundation of polymer processing. Light stabilizers and UV absorbers shield plastics from light-induced damage, preventing subsequent harm. With their high absorption capabilities, UV absorbers safeguard polymers from harmful UV radiation, while light protection agents offer low volatility, ensuring sustained protection.

The Magic of Dry Ice in Plastic & Rubber Molding
Want to utilize more efficient and environmentally sustainable cleaning methods? Want to lower your Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions score? Start using dry ice. It's no secret that sustainability and ESG initiatives are rising to the top of the corporate priority list and dry ice aligns well. The feedstock for dry ice comes from recycled CO2 as part of a carbon capture & utilization process from numerous industrial by-products. Plastics processors are aligning their corporate goals to remain responsible, competitive and resilient. Utilizing dry ice in several applications in plastics processing is helping the industry move into a circular economy to better protect our environment. How? The CO2 utilized for the production of dry ice is a carbon capture and utilization process that involves using recycled CO2, and replaces environmentally harmful solvent cleaning processes. Mold cleaning remains a critical component of producing quality products. Cleaning mold cavities and vents of resin off-gasses, cured material or mold release agents can prevent numerous common molding problems such as short shots, burns, flash, contamination, etc. Cleaning is often delayed because traditional methods cause extended downtime and often involve the use of chemicals or mechanical means that are harmful to employees, abrasive to the tooling and can wear away critical mold tolerances. We understand this problem and offer solutions to clean molds more often, faster, cheaper and non-abrasively and in an environmentally sustainable manner. Cold Jet’s Dry Ice Environmental Cleaning and Surface Preparation (ECaSP) systems present a proven solution to accomplish productivity, quality and cost reduction initiatives that many plants are pursuing. Dry ice is also utilized in our industry to deburr and deflash plastic parts. Thermoset parts will always have flash (sometimes thermoplastic parts as well), and the part geometries do not always lend themselves to tumbling.

The patented TempControl temperature regulation quick connect coupling system features an automatic safety locking mechanism and a new and innovative thermo colour coding.
The patented TempControl® temperature regulation quick connect coupling system features a new and innovative thermo colour coding. It warns the operator of hot media as well as high surface temperatures of the coupling and thus offers reliable protection against potential injuries. As a result, this coupling is especially suited when using critical media as well as for extreme temperatures between -20°C and +220°C (subject to used media). High-quality FKM O-rings prevent leakages in high-temperature applications. Advantages: • Temperature-sensitive colour coding of the locking sleeve • Maximum safety against unintended disconnection and unlocking • Simple and intuitive coupling process • High-resistance seals for extreme conditions • Versions with additional O-ring sealing at connection port • Available for almost all temperature regulation series in various sizes, materials, types of connections and valves

Thermal Inkjet Printers
Thermal inkjet printers, summarized by us in the VIAjet™ L series, are high-resolution marking technologies. This cartridge-based marking system is a cost-effective alternative to continuous inkjet and thermal transfer printers. Each time the cartridge is swapped, the printhead is automatically replaced within seconds, so you benefit from consistently high print quality. Print variable data, graphics and text at high speeds on a variety of substrates with our L-Series thermal inkjet printers. Whether marking corrugated cartons, barcodes on coated and uncoated materials, or expiration dates on glossy labels: These and many more examples are excellent applications for our VIAjet L-Series thermal inkjet (TIJ) printers.

Thermally conductive and electrically insulating at the same time
Thermally conductive and electrically insulating at the same time: In contrast to metallic materials, both properties can be combined in thermoplastics compounds. Sattler Compounds are always coloured according to customer specifications. In this way you receive high quality, and directly processable plastics granulates. Our Ekalon® PC compounds are also flame-retardant and UL-listed.

Thermally conductive compounds graphite and special ceramics are dispersed in the polymer matrix, thereby enabling LATICONTHER compounds to deliver thermal conductivity values higher than 20 W/mK

Thermo-6: Size 62 with new performance features
The new size impresses with higher heating, cooling and pump capacities and now covers a temperature range from 100 °C to 140 °C and 160 °C up to 180 °C. The pump capacity is up to 140 L/min, the heating capacity is 16 kW as standard and the cooling capacity is up to 120 kW @ 60 K. As with size 61, the new size 62 also utilises the familiar 4T can and synchronous pumps with their very high efficiency in the 100 °C units and the 4S pump from 140 °C upwards. The same applies to the new, more powerful 6P and 6R pumps with a flow rate of up to 140 L/min, whereby the 6P ‘Direct Drive’ pump also impresses with its particularly high efficiency for temperatures up to 100 °C thanks to the avoidance of eddy current losses. All pumps are frequency-controlled as standard for maximum efficiency, precision and performance. Due to their high flow rates, units with 6P and 6R pumps also use connections with larger cross-sections. Although slightly wider in physical design, the new size 62 units are 650 millimetres less high than their Series 5 predecessors, which has a positive effect on the installation options in the area of production facilities. With their overall height, the new systems also fit very well under production systems or in the immediate production environment. The reason for the larger dimensions: The greater performance potential of size 62 in the areas of heating, cooling and pumping. Nevertheless, the full potential of this size has not yet been fully utilised.
