SCANBLEND are highly weather resistant materials with high impact resistance and dimensional stability. Polykemi offers a complete program of SCANBLEND for injection molding. The products are available with, for example, multiple reinforcing agents, high gloss, heat resistance, and as antistatic grades. SCANBLEND is advantageously used in external applications in the automotive or electronics industry. PC/ASA is a thermoplastic alloy of PC and ASA components. ASA is an improvement of the well-known ABS plastic. Most properties from ABS are maintained, but ASA is significantly more UV resistant. Pure PC is a plastic with high impact resistance and excellent heat resistance. However, this plastic raw material may be difficult to process, for example in injection molding. PC/ASA has a great balance of mechanical and heat-resistant properties. PC/ASA is highly weather resistant.

SCANBLEND P can be obtained with multiple reinforcing agents, increased heat resistance and high color accuracy. PBT/ASA is used with advantage in external vehicle parts. The PBT/ASA blend is a construction material that combines the benefits of crystalline PBT and amorphous ASA. PBT provides chemical resistance and mechanical performance while ASA provides weather resistance.

SCANLON A is a construction material with good processability, aesthetics and impact strength. Polykemi offers a product range of SCANLON A for injection molding and extrusion. SCANLON A can, for example, be obtained with reinforcing agents, improved impact strength modified and metallizable. The materials are delivered with high color accuracy. PA/ABS is used for vehicle parts. The PA/ABS blend is a construction material that combines the benefits of partially crystalline Polyamide and amorphous ABS.

    6. sCOMPACT

      sCOMPACT

      The sCOMPACT dryers are designed with flexibility in mind. The compact dryers offer an integrated solution, combining the drying and conveying of the raw material in one unit. The dryers are available in three versions, each with a drying bin of the size 80, 150 or 250 litres and up to three hopper loaders for conveying to the drying bin and two processing machines. As standard, this compact dryer is equipped with dew point control, overdry protection and dry air conveying function with line purging. Thanks to a modern 7" touch screen colour display, all conveying and drying functions can be shown and monitored in a user-friendly way. 16 user languages can easily be selected.

    7. SCPD

      SCPD

      The SCPD is a continuous, counterrotating twin-screw heating and cooling processor. It is designed for processing sticky and highly viscous materials and can be used for drying as well as for other purposes such as solvent recovery or crystallization. The acronym SCPD stands for Self Cleaning Processor – Different Speed type. As the product name suggests, the machine is characterized by asynchronously rotating screws (rotation speed ratio 2:1) with self cleaning properties. This asynchronous rotation prevents residue formation in the feed zone of the screws and ensures uniform and efficient material processing. Another key feature of the SCPD is the large heat transfer surface: Both screws are hollow and can be heated up with an appropriate heating medium in addition to the barrel jacket. This design enables an even and efficient heat transfer to the material which should be processed. If required, the barrel and the screws can also be cooled down using an appropriate cooling medium. Above the screws, an evaporation chamber is positioned along the entire length of the processor. This construction enables efficient degassing. The maximum operating temperature is 200 °C. In the plastics industry, the SCPD is especially used for desolvation from resin dope (e.g. Epoxy, Phenol, Acryl, S-SBR), for solvent removal from waste materials (e.g. PPS and adhesives) and for crystallization processes (e.g. Epoxy and Phenol).
