      MechIndex

The Mechlndex system is a mechanical device designed to perform rotary movements of plates within plastic injection moulds. lt is suitable for use both in multi-material moulds andin moulds where it is advantageous to have multiple stations for insert placement or part extraction. Thanks to the integrated helical guides, the mechanism converts the linear motion of the press ejector into a rotary movement of the plate by 90°, 120° or 180°, depending on the selected configuration. The dimensions ofthe Mechlndex can be customized according to the required linear stroke X - needed for the plate to exit its housing - and the specifications of the press. On request, the system can be supplied with an integrated plate cooling unit.

    5. MONOLITH® PLUS MULTI WELL

      MONOLITH® PLUS MULTI WELL

Modular structure composed of additive 16-drop elements Each additively manufactured element consists of up to 16 injection points. Furthermore, each element has a cooling inlet and a cooling outlet for mold insert cooling. The cooling capacity can be transferred passively via 7 contact pins, or the cooling water is actively transfered into the mold insert between the nozzle tips. Secure sealing and support The sealing of the injection points is done in height and not in diameter. This allows for compensation of thermal expansion, and the mold insert can securely support itself on the hot runner without bending under injection pressure. Minimal tear heights. Due to the ideal thermal design of the system, the smallest tear heights can be realized, surpassing classic cold runner solutions.

    6. MPERIA® UV Laser

      MPERIA® UV Laser

Precise. Contactless. Gentle. The MPERIA® UV laser offers a modern solution for fine, abrasion-resistant marking of sensitive materials – ideal for industries with high quality requirements such as medical technology, electronics, or the pharmaceutical industry. Thanks to the short UV wavelength (355 nm), the material is subjected to minimal thermal stress. This enables razor-sharp markings on plastics, ceramics, cable insulation, films, or packaged medical products – without deformation or burn marks. Despite its extreme precision, the UV laser operates at high speed, with low maintenance requirements and high efficiency. Its compact design and intuitive control allow it to be seamlessly integrated into your production line. Request a free sample marking on your original material now – for maximum confidence in your decision.

    7. NIR-Detective Silver Masterbatches

      NIR-Detective Silver Masterbatches

Similar to black polymer products and packaging, silver-coloured ones can also cause problems in the recycling process. Due to their composition, certain shades of silver are not recognised and correctly sorted by the disposal company via near-infrared (NIR) in the post-consumer phase. Despite being recyclable, these products are therefore at risk of being disposed of thermally instead of being assigned to recycling. Lifocolor has developed new solutions in collaboration with Eckart, a leading manufacturer of metallic effect and pearlescent pigments. Using special silver and metallic masterbatches, it has been proven that formulations that could not be detected without the corresponding ingredients can now be recognised and sorted using near-infrared. Lifocolor advises on how the silver colour must be formulated to ensure successful Design4Recycling.
