With the new Eco-Consulting approach (Eco: ecology and economy), BARLOG Plastics supports its customers in developing more sustainable processes and successfully implementing them in the production of plastic components.

Sustainability from the idea to series production

BARLOG Plastics is actively committed to reducing the CO₂ footprint - both in its own company and at its customers. In doing so, the company strives for improved sustainability along the entire supply chain. The focus is on a holistic approach that includes both suppliers ('upstream') and customers and their products ('downstream').

With the ECO-Selection service, materials for plastic components are not only selected according to technical and economic criteria, but also taking into account sustainability and the resources of our planet.

With the ECO-Design-Service BARLOG works closely with the customer to develop the best possible component design. In this process the principles of Design-for-Repair and Design-for-Recycling are incorporated into the design.

ECO-Simulation is used to simulate production cycles in order to develop better temperature control layouts and to identify potentials for cycle reductions.

The ECO-Calculator, an online tool for calculating the product carbon footprint of various design variants, makes it possible to evaluate the impact of these measures on the carbon footprint of plastic parts.
