Granula Polymer: New cleaning granules made from biodegradable or bio-based ingredients

Granula Polymer GmbH, based in Groß-Umstadt, is presenting its patented cleaning granulate "GranaClean" at Kuteno 2024 for cleaning machines in the plastics processing industry "that have a screw that rotates". The main areas of application are extrusion (blown film, casting and filament, compounding and masterbatch production) and injection molding, including hot runners.

GranaClean is mainly used for maintenance and regular care, when changing colors and materials or when impurities occur in the product, such as black spots, streaks or agglomerates of raw materials and fillers. To remove these impurities, the supplier recommends a chemical-mechanical cleaner with an expanding effect to reach the dead zones with the deposits, such as "GranaClean Uni".
