Drying technology
Maximum energy efficiency and communication options After more than twenty years in material drying and conveying, we have taken a giant step towards energy efficiency with a joint venture between Wenz Kunststoff GmbH and qip GmbH. With the CD, JD, FD, UD and HD dryer systems, we offer you compact and intelligent dryers that automatically optimize energy requirements by continuously adjusting the drying process with an available container volume of between 1.5 and 5,500 liters. This ensures reproducible and always identical drying results. The drying technology used is particularly reliable, the ring air outlets ensure fast and efficient drying. In addition, users do not need any silica gel for the process, the dryers are almost maintenance-free and guarantee constant drying performance for life with minimal running costs due to the relatively low energy consumption. The product range includes small-volume dryers, stand-alone dryers, top-mounted dryers and central dryers. They can be used individually, as central or decentralized drying systems with or without central or decentralized material supply or as a customer-specific special solution. With the experience we have gained over the last few decades, we can meet your highest demands for material drying with our qip dryers. Central conveyor systems
The WENZ headquarters offers a high level of energy saving potential, process stability and a high level of transparency of the material routes. CENTRALLY CONTROLLED SOLUTIONS, INDEPENDENT OF THE SIZE OF THE PLASTIC PROCESSING In addition to parameterizing individual separators, the central control unit also enables the operation of individual drying devices without jeopardizing autonomous operation. There are also various communication protocols for exchanging data with external systems. Modbus over IP or OPC-UA, the user interfaces run in any web browser. This ensures 100% system integration. The devices send the data to control centers or wherever the WENZ customer wants it. Devices from other manufacturers can also be networked or old systems can be optimized, the so-called retrofitting of material handling. WENZ's hobbyhorse is central material supply - an area that has grown significantly in recent years. WENZ offers centrally controlled solutions, regardless of the size of the plastics processing. Planning a central drying system with central material supply requires detailed planning in advance. 3D drawings with the hall layout provide a concrete visual impression before the system is installed and enable early adjustments.

Wear and spare parts
Anyone who carries out temperature control must also bring the temperature control medium to the tool. Whether quick-release couplings from our own brand TALKOB with compatible systems from a wide variety of manufacturers (e.g. Hasco, DME, Jiffy Tide), temperature control hoses in a wide variety of qualities and colors as well as ready-made hoses and hose bridges - we offer the entire range of temperature control accessories. In addition, a wide range of volume flow meters and flow monitors rounds off our package.

Gravimetry
With WeCo gravimetry you can achieve precise dosing; up to four funnels dose Masterbach, regrind, additives or fillers as required. The result can be improved by using WeCo (Weight Control), which offers reliable control of material consumption and thus precise throughput monitoring. The gravimetric system can be easily installed on the drying containers or, with adaptations, on the production machine and allows batches and ground material to be added with precision down to the gram. This not only provides efficient and accurate dosing, but also consistently consistent and accurate reproducibility with low energy consumption. Installation in advance is easy and operation via the touch terminal is intuitive. The inner and outer containers made of stainless steel enable easy cleaning and material changes and, with the four funnels, offer the possibility of mixing up to four components. Coupling station
The coded coupling station patented by WENZ ensures error-free coupling processes in accordance with the central control system. If the coupling pieces are connected incorrectly, the coupling station immediately goes into boycott mode. This makes it impossible for even a single grain of the glass fiber-free granulate to reach the injection molding machine for glass fiber-reinforced safety-relevant components, or for hygroscopic granulate to be conveyed to the machine without first passing through the dryer. While RFID chips often stop working when exposed to magnetic fields or falls onto the hard hall floor, the coding remains completely unaffected. Because instead of using sensitive electronics, which may also be installed incorrectly when changing the hose, the coupling station clearly identifies each connecting piece using electrical impulses. The coupling station patented by WENZ is available coded or uncoded as a wall or standing station. Also available as a highly abrasion-resistant variant. It can be expanded modularly - with an infinite number of connections.
