About us
TecPart – Verband Technische Kunststoff-Produkte e.V. ist die Interessenvertretung für Hersteller von technischen Kunststoff-Produkten in Öffentlichkeit und Politik sowie in nationalen und europäischen Gremien.
Die Mitglieder sind vorwiegend hochspezialisierte Experten aus der Compoundierung und dem Kunststoffrecycling, aus dem Bereich der Spritzgießtechnik, dem Thermoformen sowie der Additiven Fertigung und anderen Kunststoffverarbeitungsverfahren, die technische Kunststoffteile entwickeln, konstruieren und produzieren, sowie die Werkzeuge zu deren Herstellung. Auftraggeber und Abnehmer sind die Automobil-, Elektro-, Maschinenbau- und Medizintechnikindustrie.

Successful political, regulatory and normative decisions always require partners from industry, who bring in their experience and knowledge to mirror and reflect on these decisions with politicians and standardization bodies. Only through this important dialog of stakeholders the acceptance and implementation of political measures can be ensured in the long term. Over 70 years TecPart is the active representation of the plastics processing industry in the field of technical applications for its members, both on the political stage in Brussels and in Berlin, thus bundling the experience of our industry as a "joint special department". Member companies benefit from this knowledge directly and unbureaucratically at any time.
Shaping industrial framework conditions
Standardization work is increasingly helping to shape future legislation. In the DIN Plastics Standards Committee (FNK), TecPart represents standardization interests in the fields of plastics production, processing and recycling as Chairman of the Advisory Board through active participation in the relevant national, European and international committees. In the European standardization body CEN and CENELEC, TecPart also represents the interests of its members in the field of circular economy and sustainability by chairing the expert committee for plastics recycling. At the same time, we play an active role in shaping standards for the plastics processing industry, such as DIN ISO 20457 or in implementing the standardization concepts of the "Circluar Plastic Alliance".

The annual conference "Trends in Plastics Processing" is one of the highlights of the association's year and forms the central knowledge platform for members, friends and interested parties of the association to discuss the development of the industry, make new contacts and strengthen the network in an exclusive atmosphere. The core of the joint meeting, which traditionally takes place at different locations each year, consists of keynote speeches by hand-picked top speakers, a joint dinner and a visit to an outstanding company from Germany on the following day.
