Recycling PET is not only a contribution to environmental protection, but also economically sound: The transport and production costs of recycled PET are significantly lower than those of newly manufactured, fossil-based PET, and CO₂ emissions can be reduced by up to 60%. Used PET containers can be recycled multiple times – through chemical or mechanical processes. Often, the material is processed into rPET granules, which, however, requires additional heating, transport, and handling processes – and thus also increases the CO₂ footprint. Furthermore, rPET granules are generally more expensive than the direct use of post-consumer PET flakes. This newly developed system combines, for the first time, highly efficient material drying with precise additive dosing – all in a single, compact unit. The MDS Balance Drydose thus sets new standards in plastics processing and offers a unique solution for the industry's increasing demands. The growing demand for bio-based materials, highly specialized engineering plastics, and increasingly stringent quality requirements necessitate new approaches to material preparation. This is precisely where the Drydose comes in: it ensures targeted, needs-based additive drying and makes a crucial contribution to further minimizing quality risks. A particular advantage of the system lies in the direct drying of the material within the dosing station directly at the machine inlet – without the need for additional drying units. LCD – Labotek Compressed Air Top-Mounted Dryers: A series of compressed air dryers – the LCD top-mounted dryer series – with a dew point as low as -50°C! Both models are suitable for machine mounting and low to medium throughput. The electronic control panel allows for easy programming via an online database of key materials, with the option for operator customization. The control system allows for regulation of compressed air flow, hourly throughput, and material type, which, in combination with the anti-stress system, automatically reduces energy consumption. Conveyor series for the automatic conveying of free-flowing plastic granules. The Mini-Feed conveyor series is designed for conveying free-flowing plastic granules and recycled materials with a minimum particle size of 3 mm and limited dust content from a bag or material container to the material hopper on the processing machine. Due to its compact dimensions, the Mini-Feed series is particularly suitable for use on small and medium-sized processing machines where the weight and size of the conveyor are critical factors. The Labotek mobile dry air dryer series is designed for the continuous drying of free-flowing plastic raw materials in granular form. The DDM dryer is a complete, energy-optimized dry air drying system with an integrated conveying system for the processing machine. A high-temperature (HT) version with a temperature range of 60-180°C is also available.
