Application and tool technology

In our technical center, 15 injection molding machines & three extruders are available for company-specific samples. We design tools, introduce special procedures for you and are available worldwide for process engineering support.

With four CVD systems, we create customer-specific tool coatings, for example to avoid deposits or corrosion, to increase contact temperatures in order to be able to produce weld-line-free components.

Surface technology moldings

In Europe we have a unique application center with systems for painting, PVD, electroplating, laser, digital printing, painting in the tool, etc. including the corresponding surface testing technology and showroom.

In our test laboratory, which is accredited according to ISO 17025 and certified by many automotive OEMs (Daimler, BMW, etc.), we test components and carry out damage analysis for you.

Materials Engineering & New Materials

The creation of company-specific compounds is our daily business. We are currently concentrating on bio-based & sustainable materials (paper injection molding & compostable materials) and technical compounds in the field of EMC shielding & thermally conductive plastics. In addition, we offer a manufacturer-independent material selection depending on your specifications.

Initial and continuing education

Our training and further education support you from the basic seminar (injection molding for business people), through specialist training with a focus on retraining and further qualification to workshops (systematic testing of tools) at our Germany-wide training locations or at your site. Recycling 2 Use of recyclate for technical products The joint project Recycling 2 focuses on the use of recyclate from various post-consumer sectors for technical applications. In order to better assess the potential uses of these material flows, the project focuses on the following areas - Characterization of post-consumer recyclates from various sources (e.g. yellow bag, ocean, end-of-life vehicles, e-waste, etc.) - Examination of batch consistency - Testing the long-term behavior - Determination of emissions during processing - Characterization & improvement of the odor (VOCs ) of recyclates through the use of odor absorbers Project start: April 2024 Term: 2 year

Projektinhalt: Das Projekt fokussiert sich auf den gezielten Einsatz von niedrig schmelzenden Metallen in leitfähigen Kunststoffanwendungen zur Verbesserung der EMV Eigenschaften. Innerhalb des Projekts sollen sowohl neue Materialansätze sowie Konstruktionsprinzipien und Verarbeitungstechnologie praxis-/anwendungsnah verfolgt werden. PFAS-freie Alternativen

Projektinhalte Im Rahmen des Projekts werden PFAS-freie Material- und Beschichtungsalternativen systematisch identifiziert, bewertet und hinsichtlich ihrer Anwendungspotenziale untersucht. Ziel ist es, sowohl bestehende als auch neu entwickelte Lösungen auf ihre Markttauglichkeit in verschiedenen Industrien zu prüfen. Zentrale Projektschwerpunkte sind die Markt-, Technologie- und Anwendungsrecherche, die technologische Bewertung sowie der Wissens- und Ergebnistransfer. Dabei werden unter anderem tribologisch wirksame Additive, Flammschutzmittel und alternative Beschichtungsverfahren wie PVD, CVD oder Sol-Gel-Systeme analysiert. Ein besonderer Fokus liegt auf der Bewertung technologischer Potenziale und Grenzen im Vergleich zu PFAS-basierten Lösungen. Die Ergebnisse sollen Entwicklungspotenziale aufzeigen und als Grundlage für zukünftige Innovationsprojekte dienen. Das geplante Innovationsnetzwerk strebt an, Nachhaltigkeit im Bereich der Mobilität aus einer weiteren Perspektive heraus anzugehen und rückt die Wiederverwendung und Umnutzungsmöglichkeiten von Fahrzeugkomponenten in den Mittelpunkt der Tätigkeiten.

Netzwerk 2ndLife

Geplant ist ein ZIM‑Netzwerk für nachhaltige Kunststoffprodukte mit Fokus auf Second-Life-Design, Recycling, modularer Bauweise und Kreislaufwirtschaft. Ziel sind neue Produkte, Prozesse und FuE‑Projekte gemeinsam mit Unternehmen und Forschung.
