With over 35 years of experience and a machine park comprising more than 80 injection molding machines, the family-owned company realizes demanding series production for various industries. Beyond production, HUHN offers a specialized metrology laboratory as an external contract service provider. At its core is the ZEISS METROTOM 1500 industrial computed tomography scanner. First article inspection by CT provides a complete, non‑destructive evaluation of parts – including internal geometries. We support first article inspection reports according to PPAP requirements and deliver reliable measurement results for series production approval. Especially suitable for automotive suppliers and technical plastic components with high quality requirements.
Wall Thickness & Porosity Analysis by CT
Using industrial computed tomography, we analyze wall thickness, porosity and material distribution throughout the entire component – completely non‑destructive. CT‑based evaluation supports process optimization, weight reduction and functional reliability, especially for injection‑molded and lightweight components.
CT Measurement & Dimensional Inspection (GD&T)
Our CT measurement services provide high‑precision dimensional and geometric inspection directly on the 3D data set – completely non‑destructive and traceable. We inspect complex parts including internal features according to GD&T requirements and support series release, complaint analysis and quality assurance tasks. Ideal for sophisticated plastic and hybrid components where tactile measurement reaches its limits.
Reverse Engineering
CT‑based reverse engineering enables the digitization of existing components, including internal structures. Using high‑resolution 3D data, we support redesign, tool adaptation and documentation of existing or legacy parts.
