Profitable By-Production - Volume Reduction of Edge Strips from Flat Film Production
Flat films are produced by trimming the edges of both film webs, ensuring a uniform thickness across the entire film width. The resulting continuous strips are cut into short pieces using the Hellweg RC 180 film edge strip shredder – also known as a pipe cutter.
The resulting film scraps can then be conveyed via pipelines, even over long distances, for disposal or downstream processing. The blades do not require rotary resharpening, ensuring cost-effective operation.
