The mi40 has been specially developed for incoming goods and quality control (QC) and offers fully automated and highly precise determination of MFR (Melt Flow Rate) and MVR (Melt Volume Rate) according to ASTM D1238 and ISO 1133. The mi40 combines all the advantages of the proven MI-3 and sets new standards with a higher degree of automation. Due to the powerful drive with a force of up to 80 kg, materials can be pre-compressed or ejected in a force-controlled way - ideal for determining the Flow Rate Ratio (FRR). The test-plan-controlled, automatic weight selection with up to eight integrated weights simplifies operation and ensures maximum efficiency. Furthermore, automatic pre-compaction - optionally via weight or drive - minimizes operator influence and increases measuring accuracy.       MIM technology for the series manufacturing of your complex metal parts. In the MIM process metal powder is mixed with polymer binder. This so-called "feedstock" is injection moulded on a conventional injection moulding machine. The result is a "green part", consisting of 60 vol% metal powder and 40 vol% binder (polymers and waxes). After injection moudling the main binder component is removed in a debinding step and sintered to >97% of the corresponding material density. During the sintering step the part shrinks as it can be observed in the picture above. With this innovative technology complex parts with tiny structures can be manufactured in high quantities.
