      DESOI thread unscrewing units Thread unscrewing units are prefabricated assemblies that are adapted to customer-specific applications. Our classic products have been unscrewing units for plastic and metal injection molded parts for more than ten years. The precision of the internal threads is the key to our consistent quality and therefore leaves conventional processes on the market, such as folding cores, far behind. DESOI GmbH has been a manufacturer and patent holder of thread unscrewing units in electrical and hydraulic versions since the beginning. Areas of application when plastic or MiM components should be provided with one or more threads. If a thread needs to be removed from a plastic component, then this is a cost-effective and simple solution with high reproducibility! The unscrewing units can be attached directly to or in the tool, driven by the existing hydraulics of the injection molding machine. The electric version with modern servo technology and coordinated controller is the solution for electric injection molding machines. The travel path is specified using a guide thread manufactured by DESOI for the customer and adapted to the item. The movement can be controlled, for example, by the signals from the core pull control of the injection molding machine. The fixed stop on the tool side ensures high repeatability and reproducibility. In most thread unscrewing units, the guide threads are arranged so that they can be rotated, so the start of the thread can be adjusted. If the same item with different threads is to be produced in the same tool, the lead thread sets available as accessories can be exchanged. Active core cooling is optionally available for the thread unscrewing units; this influences and reduces the cycle time and ensures an improvement in thread quality. This makes it possible to produce more cost-effectively with a higher output.
